The Rubik’s cube was created on May 19, 1974, by a Hungarian professor called Ernő Rubik.

Ernő Rubik was a professor teaching design and architecture, he wanted to find cool new ways to teach his students, so he got working and created the Rubik’s cube.

But how did he solve it? It took him a whole month to create algorithms and solving piece by piece until he finally solved it.

He then released it to the public as a toy in 1980 calling it the “Magic Cube.” But then a toy agent renamed this puzzle into a “Rubik’s Cube” in the same year it was published.
